FREE Ci MOBILE APP SIMPLIFIES COLLEGE CHOICE, CONNECTS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DIRECTLY TO COLLEGE ADMISSIONS AND CONNECTS COLLEGES DIRECTLY TO STUDENTS

College Interactive (Ci) a Boston-based software developer and higher education marketing firm announced today it has closed its first $400,000 round of funding for Ci, a new mobile app that connects high school students directly to college admissions offices and simplifies college choice. Bob Khederian, Chairman, Belmont Capital Partners is the lead investor.

“We are thrilled to be involved in this fast-moving mobile space,” said Khederian, “which clearly is the next channel for students to explore colleges, and for colleges to reach students.” Khederian has served as Chairman, Belmont Capital Partners for the past 18 years and was formerly Chairman, HiSoftware, Chairman and Co-Founder of Provident Healthcare Partners, and Chairman of Medical Specialties, Inc. which he founded, and then sold to Bain Capital in 1996.

Through the free Ci app, students and their parents gain instant access to a database of over 5,000 institutions of higher learning where they can search specific criteria to identify schools that match their interests. “In addition, college and university admissions offices can now access a new and innovative way to find, connect with, inform, engage and recruit prospective students.”
